- Started on 2007, after the first Jornadas de SIG Libre de Girona
- official chapter since november of 2008
- 536members on the mailing list
- Around 7000 mails since 2007
- 87 members
- 48 members with voting rights (inside osgeo-es)
- Around 30 events
